Eligibility
Who Can Apply
- UP domicile persons aged 60 years and above
- Persons from BPL households or with very low income
- Both rural and urban elderly residents of UP
- Persons not receiving any other government pension above ₹1,000/month
Who Cannot Apply
- Persons below 60 years of age
- Government employees or retirees receiving state/central pension
- Persons already enrolled in another pension scheme providing equal or higher benefit
- Non-UP domicile applicants
- Income tax payers

Documents Required
- Aadhaar Card
- UP voter ID or domicile certificate
- Age proof (birth certificate, school certificate, or voter ID showing age)
- BPL ration card or income certificate
- Bank passbook (Aadhaar-linked)
- Passport size photograph
- Caste certificate (SC/ST if applicable)
How to Apply
Online
- Visit sspy-up.gov.in (Sanyukt Samajik Suraksha Portal)
- Click 'Old Age Pension' and select 'Apply Online'
- Register with personal and bank details
- Upload required documents and submit
- Note down application registration number for tracking
Offline / CSC
- Visit your Block Development Office (rural) or Sub-Divisional Magistrate office (urban)
- Collect and fill the Vridhavastha Pension application form
- Attach Aadhaar, age proof, income proof, and bank passbook copy
- Submit to the Block or SDM office
- District Social Welfare Officer will verify and approve
Frequently Asked Questions
