Central Government Schemes

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) provides ₹6,000 per year to small and marginal farmer families, paid in three installments of ₹2,000 every four months. To be eligible, you must own cultivable agricultural land in your name, must not be a government employee (serving or retired), must not be a former or serving MP/MLA/Minister, and must not be an income tax payer. The scheme applies to farmers with income below approximately ₹5 lakh per year.
Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY provides health coverage of ₹5 lakh per family per year. To apply: (1) Check eligibility at pmjay.gov.in or call 14555. (2) If eligible, visit a Common Service Centre (CSC), empaneled hospital, or Jan Seva Kendra. (3) Bring your Aadhaar card and ration card. (4) Your Ayushman card will be issued free of cost. Eligible families include those in the SECC 2011 database, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, and other economically weaker sections.
PM Ujjwala Yojana provides free LPG connections to adult women from BPL households. To apply: (1) Visit your nearest LPG distributor (HP Gas, Bharat Gas, or Indane). (2) Fill KYC Form 1 and KYC Form 2. (3) Submit with your Aadhaar card, ration card or any valid address proof, bank account details, and BPL/SECC documentation. (4) A free LPG connection including stove and first cylinder will be provided. The scheme especially prioritizes SC/ST households, PMAY beneficiaries, and Antyodaya Anna Yojana card holders.
PM Awas Yojana has two components: PM Awas Yojana (Rural) for rural BPL families with income below ₹3 lakh and PM Awas Yojana (Urban) for urban EWS (income < ₹3 lakh) and LIG (income ₹3-6 lakh) families. The scheme provides financial assistance of ₹1.20 lakh to ₹2.67 lakh for house construction or purchase. Priority is given to SC/ST, women-headed households, and minorities. Applications are made through Gram Panchayats (rural) or Urban Local Bodies (urban).
PMMY provides collateral-free loans to micro and small enterprises through member lending institutions. There are three categories: Shishu (loans up to ₹50,000), Kishore (₹50,001 to ₹5 lakh), and Tarun (₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh). Any Indian citizen with a business plan for non-farm income-generating activities can apply. There is no income cap, but the business must be non-agricultural.

Applying for Schemes
