Who Can Apply
- West Bengal domicile brides aged 18 or above at time of marriage
- Family annual income below ₹1.5 lakh
- First marriage of the bride
- Application must be made within 60 days before or after the marriage date
Who Cannot Apply
- Brides below 18 years of age
- Families with annual income above ₹1.5 lakh
- Second or subsequent marriages of the bride
- Non-WB domicile applicants
- Applications submitted beyond 60 days of marriage
Benefits
- One-time grant of ₹25,000 at the time of marriage
- Direct bank transfer to the bride's account
- Applicable only for adult marriage (bride aged 18 or above)
Documents Required
- Aadhaar Card (bride)
- West Bengal voter ID or domicile certificate
- Age proof of bride (birth certificate or school leaving certificate confirming age 18+)
- Income certificate of family (below ₹1.5 lakh per annum)
- Bank passbook in bride's name (Aadhaar-linked)
- Marriage invitation card or declaration of intended marriage date
- Ration card
- Passport size photograph of bride
How to Apply
Online
- Visit socialsecurity.wb.gov.in
- Navigate to Rupashree Prakalpa and register
- Fill personal, family income, and marriage details
- Upload required documents and submit
- Application must be submitted within 60 days before or after the marriage date
- Track application status on the portal
Offline / CSC
- Visit Duare Sarkar camp in your area (held periodically)
- Visit the Block Development Office (rural) or Sub-Divisional Office (urban)
- Collect and fill the Rupashree application form
- Submit with original documents within the 60-day window
- Grant is disbursed directly to the bride's bank account after verification
