- BPL households in Karnataka not owning a pucca house
- SC/ST households in rural and urban areas of Karnataka
- EWS and LIG households with annual income below ₹3 lakh
- Households listed in SECC 2011 or Karnataka BPL survey database
- Persons with disabilities from BPL households
- Widows and destitute women from BPL households
Who Cannot Apply
- Households already owning a pucca house anywhere in Karnataka
- Government employees and income tax payers
- Households with annual income above ₹3 lakh
- Applicants who have previously received housing assistance under RGHCL or PMAY
- Non-Karnataka domicile residents
Benefits
- Financial assistance up to ₹1.50 lakh for house construction (rural BPL)
- Subsidy for urban EWS/LIG housing under state and centrally assisted components
- Convergence with PMAY-Gramin and PMAY-Urban for enhanced benefit
- SC/ST households receive priority allotment
- Funds released in installments linked to construction progress
Documents Required
- Aadhaar Card (all adult members)
- Karnataka domicile certificate or voter ID
- BPL certificate or SECC 2011 inclusion proof
- Income certificate (below ₹3 lakh per annum)
- Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC as applicable)
- Land ownership document or site allotment letter
- Bank passbook (Aadhaar-linked)
- Photograph of existing dwelling
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
How to Apply
Online
- Visit rghcl.karnataka.gov.in for scheme details and application guidelines
- Register on the Karnataka Seva Sindhu portal (sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in) where applicable
- Fill personal, income, and land details and upload required documents
- Submit and note application reference number for tracking
Offline / CSC
- Visit your nearest Gram Panchayat (rural) or Urban Local Body / Ward Office (urban)
- Obtain and fill the RGHCL housing scheme application form
- Attach all required documents including BPL proof, caste certificate, and land documents
- Submit to the Gram Panchayat or Block office for verification and forwarding to RGHCL district office
- Funds are released in installments after field verification and geo-tagged photo submission
Frequently Asked Questions
PMAY-Gramin is a central scheme. RGHCL is Karnataka's own state housing scheme. Both can be converged — eligible beneficiaries may receive assistance from both, increasing the total housing support.
