Who Can Apply

  • Urban households in West Bengal residing in kutcha or dilapidated houses
  • Households with annual income below ₹3 lakh
  • BPL families not already covered under PMAY-Urban
  • SC/ST and EWS households in urban areas
  • Households with valid urban local body (ULB) residency

  • Households already owning a pucca house
  • Rural households (see PMAY-Gramin or Banglar Awas Yojana)
  • Government employees
  • Households already receiving housing benefit under PMAY-Urban
  • Income tax payers

How to Apply

Online

  1. Visit housing.wb.gov.in for scheme details and application guidelines
  2. Some ULBs accept online applications through their respective portals
  3. Contact your local ULB to confirm the current application mode in your area

Offline / CSC

  1. Visit your Urban Local Body (Municipality or Municipal Corporation) office
  2. Collect and fill the Banglar Bari application form
  3. Attach all required documents and submit at the ULB office
  4. ULB will conduct field verification of the existing house
  5. On approval, funds are released in installments verified by geo-tagged photographs
