Eligibility

Who Can Apply

  • Individual farmers who are owner cultivators
  • Tenant farmers, oral lessees, and sharecroppers
  • Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) of farmers
  • Farmers engaged in allied activities such as animal husbandry, fisheries, and poultry
  • Fishermen and fish farmers for fishing-related credit needs

Who Cannot Apply

  • Non-agricultural individuals
  • Applicants with wilful loan defaults at any bank
  • Persons not engaged in farming or allied agricultural activities

  • Revolving credit limit based on land holding and crop pattern
  • Interest rate as low as 4% per annum with prompt repayment subvention
  • Credit for crop cultivation, post-harvest, and allied activities
  • Personal accident insurance cover of ₹50,000 (death/disability)

  • No collateral required for loans up to ₹1.60 lakh

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Crop details and sowing schedule (as required by bank)

How to Apply

Online

  1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in and use the KCC application link under Farmer Corner
  2. Alternatively, apply through your bank's official internet banking portal
  3. Fill farmer and land details and submit
  4. Bank will process and issue KCC within 14 working days

Offline / CSC

  1. Visit your nearest bank branch (public sector bank, cooperative bank, or RRB)
  2. Request a Kisan Credit Card application form
  3. Submit land records, Aadhaar, and crop details
  4. Bank will assess credit limit based on land holding and crop type
  5. RuPay KCC card will be issued after sanction

Frequently Asked Questions

The credit limit is based on the scale of finance for the crop, land holding size, post-harvest and maintenance expenses, and allied activity needs. Banks calculate this for each applicant.
